The Wine Front 3rd August 2015, Gary Walsh

Chardonnay 2014

Interesting thing McLaren Vale Chardonnay, and I believe BoB make a Pinot Noir too. Struck match sulphides and sunlight soap perfume, preserved lemons, peach and apricot with a little vanilla and cedar oak. Medium bodied, juicy fruited flavours, but kept trim with some tangy grapefruit acidity and light flintiness of texture. Curious wine, but it works pretty well. Like it.
